Little Islands Festival
The Little Islands Festival is a celebration of audio-visual arts that originates from Sikinos and aspires to connect more and more small Greek islands. An open space for meeting and creative interaction that brings together the Aegean landscape with contemporary culture and the dynamics of new media.
Its program hosts a wide range of projects that bear the characteristics of the digital medium, including: installations, projection mapping, A/V performances, VR, site specific art, music, video art, animation, short films, documentaries, and workshops.
In collaboration with artists experimenting with contemporary audio-visual media, it fosters dialogue to decentralize artistic creation, encourage the exchange of ideas and knowledge, and actively support interaction between place, artists and visitors. LIF is, ultimately, a contemporary multidisciplinary festival that reclaims public space and creates new landscapes on old sites.
